Ben Kirk finishes third in World Choral Conducting Competition!

Ben Kirk, Bass Lay Clerk at the Cathedral (and Acting Secretary to the Bishops’ Office), recently came third in the prestigious World Choral Conducting Competition in Hong Kong.

An international field of 12 finalists were whittled down over three rounds by a nine-person jury – including Zoltán Pad, Chief Conductor of the Hungarian Radio Choir, and Leon Shiu-Wai Tong, Founder and President of the World Youth and Children Choral Artists’ Association – and Ben came out in third place.

We would like to offer our warmest congratulations to Ben for this fantastic achievement!
