We have been informed by the Norfolk Safeguarding Adults Board of the following scam:
“Some people have received calls from somebody claiming to be from Public Health England, asking residents if they have received their letter from the government and then asking if they have support from family and friends, and trying to obtain personal details.”
If you receive a call like this, we urge you not to give out any information and to immediately hang up the call.
You can find some helpful tips (courtesy of the Co-op) on how to protect yourself from telephone scams here.
Unfortunately during these very difficult and challenging times, there are those that are more unscrupulous than ever. Let’s not make them successful.
